Terry Treetop Saves the Dolphin by Tali Carmi is a great children's book. The story involves a boy name Terry, whose friends call Terry Treetop because he likes to climb trees. One morning on vacation, Terry decides to go to the water to watch the dolphins play. While he is watching, one baby dolphin gets caught in a fisherman's net. Terry can't find any adults around to help, so he climbs a tree to catch the attention of a ranger to help. The ranger comes to help Terry, who is kind of sad that he can't get in the water to play with the dolphins since there aren't any adults with him. So, I sat and read this with my son, who is 13 but is mentally only around 7 or 8. He enjoyed the story very much and it was within his reading level. He struggles to read, and it is hard to get him to read unless he is interested in the story. He was very interested in this one! I think it is a good book and a good story, with great illustrations.
