Kids Academy | Educational Apps for Children

So, as many of you know, my son is autistic. While he is 13, he still functions at a much lower grade level. Finding apps that are engaging to him is hard to do. A lot of them are boring, or too baby-ish. I was very pleased when I fell upon these apps!

The Kid's Academy Math Games app is so much fun! I, personally. was playing with it before Austin took over. It kept him engaged and wanting to play more. Granted, he knows a lot of this math stuff, but for him, with having autism, it's important to continue working with him on these skills so that they are not forgotten. He really likes the animation within the app, with the dog and such. It's fun and engaging!

The Bugs, Shapes and Robots app is awesome. My son has fine motor issues and deplorable handwriting. This apps has him using his fingers to trace shapes. This is helping to work on his fine motor, while also being fun for him. He really enjoys doing this, and got a little upset when it was time to put it away to leave! I can definitely see him using this app often!
